Everything you need to know about the Sunflower Day Centre. We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help you.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Funding?

Most people are funded by adult services either directly or with personalised budgets, self-directed support or direct payments

How do i make a referal?

You can refer yourself, be referred by family, carers, social workers etc.

What times are you open?

We are open Monday – Friday 9 15 – 3 (closed Bank Holidays) you can come for a full day or part of the day, morning or afternoon.

What is Saturday Social?

We hold a “Saturday Social” 11am – 3pm every other week that anybody can attend whenever they would like to.

What support is avaliable?

If you have higher support needs at different times of the day or for the whole day we can provide 1 – 1 support. We are more than happy to accommodate you and your external support worker. We also cater for clients who wish come during college holidays/half term.

Who do you employ?

All of our staff have appropriate and up to date training.  We try to have a balance of younger and more mature people.  Take a look at our staff to see what a nice bunch they are! ‘Click Here’

Is there any transport avaliable?

We do offer a “pick up/drop off” service, this is charged at 40p per mile and staff time if the client is a one to one.

We have many activities going on in and around the day centre if there is anything you would like to do that isn’t listed please ask.
